Kananai secures GosuCup SEA #3 championship against heavy Filipino opposition

The Malaysian was the only non-Filipino in the top four but left all of Caracute, WaningMoon and Winterchill behind to bank the $300 first place prize.

Also known as ExonatoR, William “Kananai” Low went on a tear this Saturday. He was pitted against some of the most experienced and toughest opponents in the region, including fellow Malaysian Syvheonne and multiple GosuCup SEA winners Neilyo and WaningMoon. Kananai clocked a 14-5 overall record in games, qualifying him as the most recent winner of our circuit – an achievement rewarded with $300 and 3 HCT points.

Kananai himself comes from the Malaysian team Immortals, where he partners with another SEA marquee Wong Zi “AkiSera” Wen. This is the second championship for Malaysia in GosuCup SEA this season after National23 won the opening cup. The country is performing way better overall in the Summer circuit compared to Spring where they only had one top four finish in six tournaments.

We will be bringing you the winners’ decklists and an interview with our reigning champion soon. Until then, make sure to register for the next GosuCup SEA, coming this Saturday!
